Went 60s rest here - Week 2 Smolov is quite gentle really (although I have freestyled week 1 to some extent). Next week looks to be where the real fun starts. It's a great programme though - bacon and waffles for brekkie tomorrow :D I feel much more comfortable under the bar too - without years of experience, I seem to forget what to do if only squatting once a week. Which is partly why SL / SS are so successful I suppose

No i won't, horribly tight back first thing this morning. Stupid work chair

Just in case you weren't aware, stay away from deadlifts and lower body accessories. If you're absolutely itching to deadlift and can't help yourself then do a few singles at ~60% and that's it. Make sure you stay on top of your stretching and mobility. Enough food and sleep is critical during Smolov too.
 
Deads as well - are you mad?! I'm actually feeling fine now and interestingly have leg doms. Which makes more blame the work chair (or rather sitting at an angle on said chair) that has caused my issue.
 
Skipped a day due to bedtime routine swap but it also offered my back weirdness another day to straighten itself out. Am still very stiff first thing in the morning fnar ;)

My brain was daring me to go for the proper sets but a few days off is far better than a month of back pain. Felt pretty good to get it all moving - mega stretch session in store now (inc some barx2x20 GMs before I left the garage)

Pretty good - in some ways I was most comfortable under the bar. Weight was no issue and with crucifixes in between sets it went well. See what the morning brings after muchos rehab now.

First rep tended to be wobbly and then straightened out. Last couple of sets got hard but they're supposed to right?
 
Decision made on the ride home today that I'm bored of waking up in pain each morning so I'm going to rest instead of squatting. I've got a family weekend coming up anyway and hopefully some time off with lots of stretches will sort me out. Not blaming Smolov for this one but rather sitting badly / bad luck

Still, I can still bench!
