they are just observational facts
As are the comments I made about your work, but they "leave little to be desired" - which might I add, is actually incorrect, the saying is "Leaves a lot to be desired".

lol

Again with the nonsensical replies

Oh well, some are like that I suppose..heh

Once you've learned to articulate yourself correctly, then you can begin to make comments about how other people make their replies. Just like me with my comments on your photographs, right?

There's little point carrying on this topic with someone like yourself.

Ding, Ding, Round 2 :D

I think it is best you both agree to disagree.
Two young and up and coming photographers should be out taking photos not be at war with each other !!

I like most of the candids but a few are obv looking at another lens and dont work as well, not much you can do other than boshing the other photographers out of the way i guess ;)

Seems to be a fair bit of noise in some of them, more than i would expect in wedding shots and i dont like the fish eye shots (how ever i dont like fisheye shots at all so thats a personal thing)

Overall i think there are plenty of good shots and i certinally dont think the best ones are embedded in this thread but are in the link.

Well, glad I did use it in the end :) they loved them as they were "different and exciting" - gonna be sent a dvd slideshow with all pics from all 3 photographers in a few days to me for my records so looking forward to that :)

Just a case of knowing what your clients want \m/

phew...all calmed down in here ;)

robbie, great shots....well saying that I wouldnt have posted the shots you did on here as they are 'niche' shots...not the usual anyway. Looking at the rest of the shots you took on the day from your site I would have said that nearly all of the other shots you took are probably better in my opinion.

this shot for example (hope u dont mind me linking to these):

this is also very charming, great lighting:

In my opinion the fisheye should only be used for rare cases, I think its something that you need to use rarely and when you do only in certain cases...interiors and the 'Reservoir Dogs' shot style group shot...ie dark and moody.

you used it well in this shot:

but in shots like :

it just leaves me feeling giddy ;)

main thing is, as you pointed out, that the b&g love the shots. If they are happy then you succeeded and u should be proud of yourself. Fellow photographers are always going to have different perspectives on style, composition and effect, but when it comes to weddings the only opinion that counts is the client (or the mother of the bride :)).

Taa :)

The mother seemed like a quiet but menacing lady so we didn't speak to her much ¬_¬ stll, we got some of the mother too (she's the one with the large hat like from the lady in 101 dalmations !!)

Next wedding is late april apparently which I will again help out with if I can get the day free, looking forward to it, maybe not so much fisheye this time until i see what the church etc is like though, some work, some don't...hmm
