Toilet lid does not come off

Hi guys
My toilet lid is too close to the wall and will not come off

I think the button on the inside of the toilet has come loose and i need to get inside the cistern to fix it because it keeps refilling

I see silicone on the back and hack sawed it away
Any other ideas here apart from brute force

It lifts partially about 20percent but gets stuck on the wall side

Yes all good now

Basically the lid of the cistern would
Not come off

The plumber had put silicone on the top and that’s why it would not come off

So i used a screwdriver to gently wedge it away from the wall and lifted it off
