Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent

Its worth it if they will just patch the dam thing. They have released 2 updates since it was released and we don't even know what they 'fixed' because ofcourse they don't tell us.

Single player is great fun and will last you a few days depending on how much you play.

Multi player is also fun when you have no problems, but it could get old fast.

Been playing quite a bit online this afternoon here and at a friends house and I haven't had any problems at all :(

I've got this on rental and can't get on with it at all. I'm on the first level and am finding I'm constantly using the night-vision because I can't see a thing, and I'm already stuck at the point I have to disable the missle. These aren't notmally my kind of game, seems this is no exception. :(

I felt like that at first (Hated previous versions and stealth games) once you've finished the first level imo it gets really good.

I completed the game earlier today, very good game but short.

Just stick with it 'till the 3'rd mission at least :)

Should I be having to use the night vision all the time, or do I have the contrast/brightness all wrong?

You have to use Night Vision a lot, the game is heavily based around dark and shadowed area's. It's the style the game uses and I personally think it's fantastic!

I pretty much used the night vision all the way through the first mission.

Can't say I really needed the night vision much after that though.

Don't think i've used the night vision yet :p I think i'm on the 5th mission.

I was the same, much preferred the earlier versions with the stealth meter and proper shadows, aaahh the memories :)

Got the game friday but saved it until my mate stayed over last night, played it almost constant all the way through on normal, neither of us are particularly stealthy so a lot of shooting and stabbing was involved.

Enjoyable and tense in a lot of parts and neither of us particularly like these kind of games. Graphics were very good and our favourite level was Shanghai so much variety and looking out over the skyline with the fireworks was jaw dropping. Bit annoyed there wasn't a co-op of the single player though, had it in my head there was dunno why :(

Anyway, next gaming session is Gears of War which I know does have co-op through the single player campaign :D

Got my region free copy from play asia this morning and no custom charges:p.

Havent had a chance to put it in and play as im trying to finish off GRAW, which i should have done months back when i first got it lol:p.

At least the instructions are in english though:p.

Finding the first level very irksome atm

I'm going to stick with it, but if I can't get on with it then it'll be up for sale pretty soon!

Luckily I have COD3 and GOW to come :)

Compared to the rest i felt the first level was pretty poo too; keep with it

Yeah the first level put me off so badly it just now sits on my shelf. I was gonna keep it for my nephew as he's getting a 360 from santa ;) but at 8 I think it will be a bit much for him :D

I got the missle bit and couldnt find my way about at all with the night vision, I gave it a few cracks til I got bored. Luckily I didnt pay full price for it so I shouldn't lose too much on it.

YOu guys have really got to give the game ago... Im a huge Splinter Cell fan and have been since the first one, so maybe a bit biased. But I did feel the first 2 levels where quite dull, and I was very put of by them.

But after that it gets into the usual formula of misson after mission... the first two levels seem to make up the story for the beginning.

Once you hit the snow level, its gets great and I love DA... not as good as Chaos Theory, but certainly not far off.

If you liked the other SC, then keep plugging away at it and you will love it I'm sure! I'm near the end on Hard difficulty now, but been hooked on DR again recntly :)
