I look forward to hearing how this is performing for Radeon users, I just worry because every Nvidia sponsored title recently is a mess for folks with an AMD system.
Any game tied to Steam (most now are) will not unlock until the same time for all versions.OK makes more sense I guess if no physical copy available, I'd be annoyed if I walked into the shop and got home to then be told I had to wait for the unlock. I get that for digital downloads especially with pre-loads, but physical copies should never be tied to that kind of system in my opinion.
I report back once unlocked. I have 290's in xfire on my main PC and a single 290 in my gaming HTPC downstairs.
I hope it performs well.
Fingers crossed it's 5pm.
Performance: As detailed earlier, SSAA can have a significant performance cost, similar to the cost of increasing the rendering resolution. That turns out to be 13 FPS for 2x SSAA, and 21 FPS for 4x SSAA, which pushes our reference-speed GeForce GTX 980 Ti below 30 FPS. If you have a SLI setup though, SSAA is a viable option.
It sounds like performance stinks. Look at this quote from Nvidia
There talking about 1080p there people, sub 30 fps on a 980 ti....

I'll still enjoy it though, all be it with many settings tweaked,
2 hours to go..... sorry approx 1 hour according to Steam.
Exactly.Isnt 4xSSAA rendering at 4K and down sampling to native res same as DSR/VSR? If so, sub 30fps on a 980ti is to be expected.
