Tomb Raider - Rise of the Raider PC

That's why you don't pre order anything. It does look incredible though, best snow I've ever seen in a game for sure! Very tempted to get this especially hearing how it's more like earlier TR games
You do if you want to preload early as Steam gets those keys before anyone else. Square Enix must be smoking something strong to penalise by £6 everyone who supported the game at full price as that's how much they reduced the full version to £53 from £59 :(

That is seriously poor business practice towards their core supporters :(

And another reason never to buy directly from steam. Even on legit sites like GMG it could be had for £30 with the preorder bonuses I think.

Been playing it and it's pretty decent I think, the steam score of 88/100 is about right I am enjoying it. Another game that runs flawlessley on my rog swift 1440p, gotta love the 980ti's.

Dammit it looks good! Not as if I don't have 30+ games still to play :/

Is this game going to like a 980GTX , 8320 AMD and 8GH Ram on 1080p?

I had this on xbox one but when i bought the 980Ti a few weeks ago i got the code and decided to sell the xbox version and play it properly.

Runs amazingly well maxxed out at 1440p on my system... my friend has just seen it and now wants a pc! hahaha

Graphics are probably the best yet aside from the witcher 3.... the cutscenes using the game engine are getting close to looking like live action in some respects, her leather jacket and so on. Faces are great but still a long way from fooling the casual eye into thinking they are real action shots.

I will be having much enjoyment completing this one i think!

My early impressions are buy it!!! Great game and awesome visuals. I hope it stays this way to at least half way through, as that is when I will give it a review.

It really is probably the best looking game I've ever seen and it absolutely crushes my 970 at 1440p, 35-50 fps with a combination of high/very high and that's at 1500mhz. Looks stunning on the 32" BenQ but I wish I'd stayed on 1080p sometimes:p

EDIT: Maybe I should just embrace 30fps and go all out;p

Looks really good on my 1440p screen, even bought the Season pass:)

They should have just ditched the xbox one version and brought it straight to pc months ago:)

Just tried it for an hour, graphics ramped up to maximum... game runs really well

Before I get too involved in the story line, would I be better off playing the previous Tomb Raider?

Just saw a few screenshots with SMAA enabled, I thought I read somewhere it wasn't even an option?

There's that plus FXAA and 2 and 4x SSAA.

The FXAA is too blurry and the SSAA costs too much fps so the SMAA is the best compromise.
