Tomb Raider - Rise of the Raider PC

Only read if you have finished the main story and can give some guidance please

I was really enjoying this until about half an hour ago when the gameplay became a total joke, The main protagonist somehow completely disarms you by grabbing the bow, Fair enough but it then takes two staged events of stabbing him in the back to bring you to a section where it says use the C button to dodge incoming blows.
It dodges one and then I get stabbed in the back because it is not responding anymore. It doesn't seem to matter what button or buttons I use I simply stand there and get a knife in the back. I've just done a good 20 goes at it and nothing, The C button does nothing after the first dodge and I can't find anything else that works.. Can someone explain this part to me please.

C for dodge, the use the melee ( F) key when the prompt reaches centre circle
 
If your playing on m+k its so absurdly easy even on hard it doesnt matter, bow is prob most fun though so yea upgrade that. Loot is everywhere, dont worry about running out
 
I'm still getting occasional hitching / pausing in xfire. I'm not vram bound, textures are on high (I've even tested low). Very smooth locked at 60fps until I transition in to certain areas it seems. And it's not a constant stutter or fps drop kinda thing, just a quick pause like it's loading up a new scene... but nothings different on the screen. It really makes no sense lol

I have tried tons of different settings and even disabled hyperthreading and changing my core count on my cpu which of course did nothing but I was in the zone.
 
I've now completed the storyline and got an overall average completion of 77%.

I'm considering un-installing and reinstalling and starting again at the moment,
2 reasons, 1 is playing through on Survivor level for the achievements and 2 is for the two achievements that seem to have glitched.

Reading the past is awarded for translating one Monolith, I've done loads of them and never got the achievement and the other is called Strange aquaintance, I'm not sure what or when it comes into play but 58% of people have it so I'm presuming it's something during the storyline, Reading the past is the third most awarded one at 73%.

Excuses excuses :D I'm not sure why I'm making them as I'm no longer living with the Mrs so she can't stop me like she used too :)

You do, If you enjoyed TR 2013 you will enjoy this. It's more of the same in the way Far cry 4 was to Far cry 3.
I've still got games like Witcher 3, Project Cars and RE Zero that after a little dabble I haven't gone back too this on the other hand imo gives a master class in complete packaging. I can't think of a better game in the last year or so.

It doesn't really matter,

Just like in TR 2013 you do reach a base camp that's a point of no return and you'll have to complete the storyline after passing that point but even at the very end you can play on, After the end cut scenes and credits just press continue and it gives a short cut scene followed by you being back on one of the maps. It all makes perfect sense and flows with the story and how it ended.
 
I noticed at the end , the cutscene focused on her fathers papers spread around on the desk and it zoomed in on a map of mexico and the northern part of south america, with an area circled on the map. So I am guessing that the 3rd game will be set in the amazon type area involving the maya and inca
 
Completed. 93% at 34hours and many dead animals later.
Need to find the will to complete the challenges now.
Anyone else got confused on what to do in the helicopter fight? Through out the fight I liekwas WTF am I supposed to do? I got lucky that the helicopter crashed after spamming Explosive arrow and the trebuchet.
