Rather surprised by the lack of a topic on this one. I think a lot of people - myself included - have been a little apprehensive about the new Tomb Raider 'reboot', but the reviews are out and it's looking very good. Roll on the 5th of March!

Reviews:
Eurogamer - 8/10

Polygon - 9.0

CVG - 9.0

IGN - 9.1

GameTrailers - 8.5

GamesRadar - 4.5

Gamesbeat - 88/100

Edge - 8/10

NowGamer - 8.8/10

Kotaku - YES (?)

Penny Arcade - N/A

Also worth checking out the Final Hours videos here, they provide some quite interesting behind-the-scenes stuff:

Anyone else looking forward to this? Had mine pre-ordered for a few months simply because I could get it cheap at the time, and now I'm especially glad I did.

Bout time there was a thread for this game (the console section of this forum is just dying of death it seems), tried to watch the IGN review a minute ago but couldn't stick the narrator then tried to watch the Gametrailers review and couldn't stick the lack of decent streaming from that site....anyway got a ton of games I'm going to trade in for this next Tuesday, one of the few games that I've been hyped up for :)

Had it preordered for ages, so its nice to see reviews up before release, unlike the recent Colonial Marines debacle.

From what I have read the game is very short in length (12 hours or so) and is heavily combat orientated :( Think I will wait for a price drop on this.

12 hours is not "very short", I can't imagine it being any shorter than the Uncharted games etc, especially when you consider the exploratory aspect of many of the areas.

It is when you compare it to the original Tomb Raider games i.e 1, 2 and 4 and we didn't have stupid QTE's

Maybe so, but I don't think it's really fair to compare it to the old games, it doesn't share much in common with them aside from the name and Lara herself. Everything else is new, essentially, so it stands to reason that it'll be more comparable with recent games from the same genre.

Isn't necessarily going to please everyone, but they were obviously struggling with bringing the old formula up to modern standards. The previous few games have been pretty good but they weren't massive sellers really.

Dying to play this, luckily I don't even have to pay for it (free with my GPU) :D

I'm so glad there's finally a thread on this. Was going to make one but I'm no good at posting links etc on the phone so didn't bother.

I have preordered the survivor edition and the collectors edition guide. For the statue, necklace and extras I'm mega excited, never mind the game!

Found a few more reviews so I've added them in bold.

Curiously, I did find this on Videogamer about them not being happy with the NDA terms that SE sent down, meaning they didn't get a review copy in advance. Something to keep an eye on perhaps, but considering various other reputable sites such as Eurogamer and Polygon have complied quite happily, it'd suggest there's probably nothing to worry about.
