Tomb Raider

So is this puzzle orientated or not? Slightly confused by the latest posts comparing it to Uncharted which isnt that taxing when it does have a puzzle - a reason why I loved the original PoP trilogy and the early TRs.

Nothing wrong if it isnt, but its not really a TR game otherwise

Uncharted is probably the most accurate comparison, certainly nothing that will leave you wondering what to do. It's mostly just physics puzzles i.e. a platform that has to be weighed down etc.
 
Picked my copy up on Friday, 32 quid from Tesco (maybe no the best price), but happy to pay that and nice to see a new game launched at this price - so that's two things these guys did well; the other being release scores out early :)

Not that far into the game though, only unlocked a few camps. but I'm really enjoying it, looks amazing, plays well, a worthy addition to the series imo.
 
Just completed this. It's very enjoyable indeed. Lots of collectables, and a few puzzles that aren't particularly taxing, but I'm not fussed about that. The story is also pretty good, and I liked the theme.

It's a more open-seeming Uncharted if people want a comparison, but I enjoyed this just as much as the Uncharted series :)

Thoroughly recommended!

Edit: Oh and the bow is immense :D

I seem to be a bug magnet in this game, first I lose my progress forcing me to start again, had another glitch earlier where all my gun upgrades seemed to have merged together on the menu and I couldn't exit out, and just now I got stuck after picking up the rope ascender; the box you have to pull stays suspended in mid air. Fortunately there's another glitch that lets you fall through the floor where the box should hit, took 20 minutes of trial and error to get that to work though.

Superb game, I'm really enjoying it and I'm impressed with how long it is, but they need to fix these bugs.
 
Pleased with how long this game seems to be, spent about 6 hours in total just the last two nights and when I checked before I logged off tonight I still wasn't even 60% through :eek:
 
Complete! Wasn't entirely blown away by the very bits of gameplay or the ending overall, but the game as a whole was absolutely superb and I hope the next one is even better. The large open areas to explore were a fantastic idea, it'll be interesting to see if the next Uncharted goes a similar way.
 
Just finished the story this evening and have to say it had me hooked right the way through! Just played 2/3 hrs an evening to make it last but still got loads to do like the side quests looking for treasure and documents so still plenty play left in it after the story finished :) defo an Unchartered feel to the gameplay but thats a great thing since av completed those games too. Hopefully theres some more downloadable content coming soon like tomb explorations, didnt seem as many of those as the last games but defo flowed nicely with the adventuring you could do... Roll on another TR release!
 
Completed with 88% IIRC, just going round the map mopping up what I've missed. Great great game :)
 
Can't believe this game only has a two page thread!

Utterly fantastic. Just finished it, and loved every minute. Best game I've played for a while I think.
