Tone/music editor

I have some MP3's i'd like to use for my ring tones but they take too long to get into the bit i like that you'd notice etc etc.

What softwear can i downlaod to edit these tunes into a time frame.

I'll just sned them across via IR to me phone

What you want is called "audacity" and its free.
I used it for my ringtones and it does everything.
You will need the latest version of "lame" for outputting in mp3 format though.
