i love mine - i think it looks great :) i usually wear blackline so it really stands out too
i have an inner-conch to upper helix industrial through at the moment though

the OH is having his helix and inner conch pierced on saturday with the aim to fit through an industrial when they're healed

piercings = sexhay

though i wouldn't get a tongue/lip piercing because i don't want to waste 5yrs of orthodontics and i can't have a facial piercing because hospitals don't tend to like them!
 
My 2c, don't do it, its nasty you loose most of your taste etc, its horrific.

i had my tongue pierced 6 years ago. still pierced and no regrets.


edit: and to some of the comments on this thread... FFS stop being such piercing snobs. getting piercings doesn't make you any more interesting. get a life.

i find that since getting my 9th piercing, i have a much more magnetic personality..... :p
 
My friend was a right piercing maniac...


He did nearly all of them himself aswell :p

He did his Nipple, Belly Button, Ears copius amounts of times, Nose, Lip twice, Sack all just with a needle in Tutor time :E

Yes he was a very strange lad.

ALSO, he got the join of his toungue pierced, the little flappy bit that holds it to your mouth - He did that professionally aswell.
 
Get it done.

Get a few packs of pain killers as well. It isn't painfull at all while done (no worse than an injection. i hardly felt it when it was done propperly. I've found (i've had it done three times) that about an hour later it starts to hurt like when you bite your tongue, but all over. It isn't so much painful, just annoying. This carries on for a couple of days.

When you get it done (esp if you are a guy.....) don't get it too far back. Main reason because your tongue is thicker and if you have a retard of a piercer who does it too far back it can take upto 4-6 weeks to stop swelling. Like what i had. And they did it off center.

I got it redone, in the right place, the swelling went down within a week or so.

It is like having chewing gum in your mouth constantly. Fun to "play" with in your tongue.

Tongue + Labret is fun to play with ;)

I'm glad i've got it done. Just wish i had gone to a good piercer the first time...

I want to now go and split it... Doubt i will though. Can't really grow it back.
 
On girls. It rocks.

On guys... well it depends if you can pull it off or not. I know some guys with it that suits it, but they're into tattoos, and other piercings. As just a one off piercing it seems a little "weird".

But ultimately it's for you. If you want it go for it. If you're worried about people judging you by it maybe you shouldn't have it?

Agreed. girls for sure.

im not sure if id get any piercings i think im just going to get stretches if any.
