I was disappointed at first but when the game was first announced I thought how is the open world but going to merge with the remaster style? It wouldn't in my opinion so in the grand scheme of things they did the right thing.

That said the game really should be called THPS 3 featuring levels from 4 lol

It's weird. So far i have no recollection of the levels on THPS3, whereas 1 and 2 i could remember almost every one

Only level I can remember is the airport and the first foundry level as it's iconic

I remember every level in detail since I played it so much

It did take me a bit of time to remember all the objectives though

It doesn't bother me one bit, as they always were timed, so you could argue that 4 ruined the purity in that regard - it worked though and was fun, but it didn't 'need' to have the free roaming either.
I more gutted to find out some of the songs/levels are missing to be honest. But I've accepted that and who knows, maybe they'll get added later?
I've been replaying 1+2 this week (again haha) and will be picking this up when paid

Very excited haha!
