Leaving my newly built 4300 on ds3 at default
I just cant get my head round how to overclock the thing
cpu host frequency on mine =100
no idea how to make the ram stay at its current 800 mhz
how are people running 1600 mhz????
need to go lie down will read everything some other time i guess
i presume normal is 1:1 ratio no idea what 2:0 is  lol
god its like rocket science compared to barton overclocking you just up the fsb with that lol

The motherboard provides a default frequency (FSB), that other components then use.

Different components multiple this base frequency internally to achieve the rated figures.

Set 400MHz for the FSB and times that by 4 to get the 1600MHZ figure you mention.

Set 400MHz for the FSB and times that by 2 (DDR, DOUBLE Data Rate) for the memory.

200MHz is the default FSB to use for your particular CPU though.
