ok guys so i get my h50 all going well i get 3.8 on my q6600 the the northblidge becpmes too hot to touch so i started to look around and im just wondering are the thermalright products anygood has anybody had any experience with them

The Thermalright stuff is very highly reccomended, btw what voltage are you putting through the NB, had this board with a q6600 at 3.8ghz, NB voltage of 1.34 but it was always very cool.

Depending on bios revision, it can be a bit dangerous to let the p5q deluxe run on auto voltages, they are known to seriously overvolt PLL, FSB-TERM-NB voltage if left on auto or lowest manual setting. Same applies to ram volts, overvolting by upto + 0.08v, ie my ram was rated at 2.1 vdimm, i ran it at 2.02 vdimm.

Theese are the chipset voltages i used for 3.8ghz

CPU-PLL, 1.6V
FSB-TERM, 1.34
NB1.34.

The max reccomended are. 1.6 for pll, and 1.4 for fsb term and nb, set fsb -nb strap to 333mhz (most stable from my experience).
