My key ring now is getting annoying, it pokes in my pocket and is getting too large.

I have 4 house keys for my house and then 3 for my parents, then a Merc Fob (This aint small!) then a garage opener, again not small!

What are people using to store these items? or at least stop them sticking out of my jeans etc.

Cheers.

Why do you need four different keys to your house and three different keys to your parents? Presumably you only go into the property through one door at a time.

Well we go either through the front or back as depending if we have the muddy dogs we will go through the back.

So 1 for front door, 1 for inner door, 1 for rear and then 1 for Fish outhouse (I keep saltwater fish)

Parents I could get rid of 2 really and only use the 1 front door.

I think the question is do you need all the keys at the same time, you mentioned muddy dogs, maybe if your taking the dogs out take the relevant key. Just a suggestion.

I have a set of house keys and then all the car keys are kept separate. So when i leave i take house keys and leave them in the car so i only have to carry around a single car key

Started doing this years ago when i got a 2nd weekend car as having all your keys on 1 bunch was super annoying when you needed to move them around on the driveway.

As above. House keys (and general all metal, flat keys) go on the one keyring. The cars all have their own key with it's own keyring. Even before I had keyless go I'd do this as I hate things dangling in the ignition!

House keys live in the armrest usually, or the laptop bag if that's with me. So only the car key goes in my pocket.

I tend to have a single key for driving and a bunch for other stuff. Bunch goes in a cubby/door and key in ignition. Can't stand the dangly key thing when driving.

This. Can't stand people who have a kilo of keys and assorted ***** dangling from their ignition barrels!
Car key fits neatly in the tiny square jeans/trousers pocket as well.

Keep your garage fob in the car then get 'keyed alike' lock/keys for house

Then enjoy having only one key to open all doors and one fob

Pretty much this. In fact, I barely even take my house keys out with me. I used to go away for work with no keys at all.

Now, I have a separate place to keep the car keys and garage keys (well, door opener thing). That gets me in the house. I have 2 keys for my house on a keyring, if I remember it. It also has the tags for Tesco / Morrisons points or whatever. Thats it.

I stopped carrying a bunch of keys with me years ago. Probably when a car key accidentally smashed a phone screen when I sat down once.

So, I have 6 sets of keys. Maybe you could do something like I do on my motorbike keys. I have one with a plastic holder sorta thing. on that ring, my bike key and alarm fob. Then i have a carabina linked to another ring which holds chain lock key, disc lock key, gate key, back door key, and top box key. So, they hang together but if i don't need the set of keys for home then i don't take them and can easily separate/attach them with the carabina.

My other sets of keys are very simple. House key has front door key only and a Man Utd Badge keyring. Car key has BMW fob(also pretty large) and a BMW Dealership leather key ring. Others are like, locker keys for work and my room key.

i have a front door key, back door key and a usb stick on my keyring (you never forget your usb stick when your house keys are on it :D )

car key goes seperate just loose in the pocket, a habit it got into when i had the skoda and the tabs had broken off the keys so i couldnt put them in the keyring.
