Took a ride in a souped up Mitsubishi Evo VII today... yikes!

Excellent.

I get to take my dad's hotrod to Extreme Wheels on Friday. Just had a revamp, redesigned rear suspension, new rubber and wheels all round. 4.2 litres, 330hp, 295lbs torque...

Was in a 475bhp R33 a few months ago around a track.

That was quick. I had a sore neck after 10 laps. The power is totally relentless, the six pot APs are well up for the job, and the cornering ability is unbelievable.

There was no give, no rest, no relaxation, no breather. It was violent and unyielding.

Unbelievable experience though!

I almost crapped myself when I went out in a friends Aston Martin Vantage (not the current V8 Vantage, the 1990's one with the 5.3l twin supercharged v8). It wasn't so much the acceleration, it was the sound that really got to me.

Cars don't really excite me that much now though, if I want acceleration I'll get the Fireblade out and go embarass some 911 turbo drivers.

what roads in crawley? did ya go round gatwick and such? lovely bit of roundabouts and carridgeways :D

Pah..cars..

Sat on the front of a motorcycle when i was a bit littler... let out a truly girly scream with the acceleration.. lucky the wind was whipping by so fast it wasnt really heard..:p

When I first rode in the captain of my saturday rugby team's 911 carrera it brought a smile to my face when he put his foot down and we rocketed away. The sound of the flat six coupled with being forced into the back of your seat is just amazing. Also the car just kept wanting more and more, I can't even begin to imagine how fast a 911 turbo would be.

One day I will own a Porka of somesort.
ditto, probably the 966 GT3 you described, at around £45K though it will be a few years (probably once im 30) till i get my hands on it even then its gonna be expensive.. maybe have it as a trackcar or something ? ;)

A lad I used to know who set up a tuning company near me (my mate did the spannering for him) had a dyno tested (many times after setting up different mods) Evo 6 with around 750bhp (748 I think something like that) and a very sophisticated anti lag system. 3k worth of HKS suspension, a proper garbox, carbon everything. He must have spent an obscene ammount of money on it. It even had a HUD showing every readout possible.
I have ridden some fast bikes and driven some fast cars but that thing just re-defined the word fast. Everytime I got in it it was a mixture of fear, excitement and pure addrenalin. Sadly he's gone back to japan with it, but It was one hell of a machine. This guy used it as a daily driver (it did about 5/6 MPG)

A CTR or something and a elsie/caterham/GSXR600 in a year or 2 will do me :D

yeah, gatwick has been ruined by the speed cam popups :( my mate used to drift his capri down there!

manor royal annoys me for some reason :| nothing like the brighton -> lewes A27 blast for showing off your car's acceleration

nothing quite like a bike, Ive had a couple and want annother. (I'm only 20 but have had a RS125 and a VFR400R. Passed my bike test at 17. Thinking about a 600 for the summer! The car I posted on the end of the first page was stupidly fast, but bike are just better (just a higher chance of death)! Perhaps a track bike may be the way forward?? hmmmmm

(Sorry - I was bored)

I have a 1.7 Vauxhall Corsa Dti.
My boss took me out in his L Reg Import WRX Turbo. I blamed the drains outside for the smell.
However, I can't afford such speed.
