Been offered BETA C38 range top box and roll cab for £800, without tools obviously. I really do need something to tidy up the tools, sockets, etc. Retailed over £1300 new and it's only 18 months old, literally no marks or anything.

Sound pricey?
 
IMO It's a little much to spend on a home tool box, the Halfords professional ones would cost you less (especially as the bundle offer is on at the moment) and be more than adequate but Beta make top notch stuff so if you value the quality then it's probably a fair price.
 
Yep, I'm not about to enter the trade or anything, but don't mind paying for something that is probably going to last for life.
 
Even the Halfords industrial stuff is on offer at the moment (top box and roll cab for £300) so it's probably worth having a look and comparing the options before committing to the higher priced stuff. That extra £500 can buy a lot of nice tools and the tools are more important than the box.
 
Can't see why the Halfords stuff wouldn't last a lifetime tbh, especially with only getting light DIY use.

Spending £800 seems like total and utter overkill, I’d rather have a £300 box and spend the extra on tools, which funny enough is exactly what I’ve done.
 
Thought I'd bump this, £160 for a bundle of two items using a 10% code EM12SMOT, need to add the individual items rather than those in the bundle. Hardest part is finding a store that has both in stock.

If you use it on the Industrial bundle (£400) you get 10% off the RRP (that's £73 off £734) so you get the lot £327!
 
Halfords industrial here too, very well made for the price, you've got features not usually found on base spec boxes.

SGS engineering though I have a jack and 4 heavy duty stands from them which is top quality, I think I paid £130 for the set. I would not doubt the quality of their offerings.
