Tool storage

Ordered and am now using an erbauer stacker. After years of using random boxes and making a million trips. I decided to commit and also bought a stacking crate to compliment the whole lot

I think tool storage is the most neglected yet most important thing you can spend money on. Knowing where your tools are and that they are protected is so, so important.

I need to get into the game of organising and storing my bits and pieces. I only really have a toolbag and a clear-lid organiser. Top budget recommendations? I've been hunting fb marketplace for a few weeks but can't find anything that's really cheaper than what you'd get new in the shops. Also, where are you all keeping your toolboxes when filled? I don't have a garage, but do have a shed that is reasonably tucked away from life. It's either that or the loft..

Got these for the my Stanley ProStack. I tried adding the image here but not sure how to do it exactly. The tool foam inserts are a very snug fit and sit approximately 5mm higher than expected due to the divider moulding in the bottom of the drawer, I cut grooves in the underside to allow the foam to sit a lower. Also I just finished kitting out my TSTAK tower. The deep draws all have two layers. Make it so easy to organise and locate all my tools. I have added the link if anyone wants to check it out

Keep an eye out for 2nd hand Snap-on chests and pick one up. Expensive yes but you buy once, for life!

I followed a similar path of tiny then ever increasing sized plastic toolboxes before the cabinet. Its worth it knowing you have a 1 stop shop for a majority of your loose tools all organised and easily accessible from draws. I don't regret the cost ever.

I have a huge amount of other tools in their original cases which are not as easy to store (Mostly power tools) but keeping them this way tends to work out better anyway.
