Tool to work out Partition sizes after format?

Hi, is there any cool little apps that can roughly work out disk space and partition sizes after they have been formatted?

I'm just at the WinXP set-up screen using a 40GB disk and its showing me

36656 (roughly 36GB)

But if I wanted to make a 20GB partition/NTFS what amount would I enter? Obviously it would be close to 20656 but by the time that has formatted it would be less than 20GB.

I always just guesstimated this but I'm sure there must be a web-page app or small program that can work this out for u (i.e what figures to enter)

Not sure if one excists to work out the size after a drives been formatted etc.

20x1024 = 20480 so 20500 is what I choose when I need 20GB partition

Thats one thing that allways annoyed me about partitioning: I'd work out the sizes perfectly, partition it, and the partitioner would allways balls it up and make it slightly bigger or slightly smaller than i wanted it to be!

That's because the partition needs to match the physical drive specifications.
