Tools for working on the car

Yes, make sure you have plenty of Subtle Persuasion Devices :D And some good Leavers (Screwdrivers) I have lots of blunt screwdrivers because I brought cheap rubbish

As has been mentioned, Halfrauds Professional Series are pretty good I've jumped on their Torque Wrenches before (Land Rovers are stubborn :p )

Looks like you're just missing some tie wraps to me. And maybe a bigger hammer just to be on the safe side :D

A big hammer is essential. A rubber mallet would probably be a good thing to have too.

Halfords trolley jacks are excellent, as are their non-folding axle stands, and well worth a purchase imo.

Why on earth would you jump on a torque wrench?!

I recommend Halfords trolley jacks and non-folding axle stands. A rubber matter is quite useful too.

and pry bars... instead of breaking your favourite screwdriver!

i wonder if the lifetime warrenty on my screw drivers covers snapping the tip off trying to pry with it

that clarke 12v has made my life better whevener ive had to get a flywheel off. big torque on a rotating object... well stick the 12v impact thing on and youre done.

Depends on the jobs you want to do, i've spent quite a bit of money on tools in the past 5 years, in addition to the above ideas i've found my Dremel to come in super handy.

12v clarke thing seems pretty cheap, surely it doesnt last more than a few minutes?

decent set of spanners and sockets are vital, then its whatever needed for the job your doing! Takes years to build up a decent tool set, air guns save a lot of time, decent jacks, ramps, axle stands, makes life a bit easier if you can get under the car easy.
