This stuff REALLY winds me up :mad:

Take for example, the bee sting one. I found that hillarious.
293 complaints and it was upheld.
If you imagine that maybe 5million people saw that advert during its run, then that means that less that one hundredth of a percent of the people that saw it found it offensive, yet in a way, they were proved right to be offended by it !?!?!?!?

Damn you politically correct morons.... YOU RUINED MY COUNTRY !!! :(

If there it could be removed from just one complaint if the ASA agree with it. Otherwise thousands won't do a thing.

Only one I agree with on that list is the crazy frog thing.
 
I am completely against these "politically correct" and health and safety nazi's that bring in all the pathetic rules and guidelines and tell us what is safe for us to do or not.

It makes me sick.

However on the other hand I can also say that I cannot believe that while we have a watershed on TV, there is no such thing on the radio.

Everyday I cannot believe that before 9am (during the busy school run) they play songs such as "50Cent - Candy shop" and pretent to block out the offensive words.

Dont get me wrong I like the music, but I dont think a young child should be listening to these kind of lyrics on the way to school and then singing along in the back of mum or dads car :s
 
LOL I can't believe the C5 mailshot for CSI actually worried people.

I got one, and have to admit to it being one the best pieces of snail mail spam I've had.

Yeah but it depends on what the complaint is, a lot of tv shows get just 1 complaint and can get into serious trouble with ofcom
 
Some of those ads were just plain rubbish anyway. KFC, Pot Noodle, cursed Crazy Frog... They all annoyed me, just because they were on so much and they were terrible. The bee sting one was naff too.

I find I'm barely ever influenced by advertising anyway, so if they must waste my time with 5 minutes of adverts I'd at least like them to be entertaining.

On a related tangent... I wonder if anyone's complaining about the new Aero Bubbles advert with the stupid women banging on about the bubbles melting with their mouths full.

Could we compaign to have the following banned - adverts for debt consolidation, end of life policies (any), electric shutters for houses, car insurance adverts featuring animals, any company who has its employees sing, fast food retailers with unrealistically happy staff, car adverts showing totally empty streets, and stairlifts.
