Popular Motoring Enthusiast website 'Car Throttle' Posted an article last night on their top 10 Racing Wheels.

Whilst not the sort of technical analysis that many OcUK users would expect when considering spending 100's of pounds on peripherals, some of the points they make are accurate.

I'm feeling spicy this morning so I thought I would shake it up a bit and celebrate with a few price drops on our Steering Wheel range. :D

These deals will be live until 9AM on 07/07/14

For this load of money, you deserve some cool features. The T500 RS gives you fully adjustable pedals by width spacing and height and crazy wheel rotation, up to three full turns. Wheel movement is super precise using new magnetic sensor technology and the force feedback response is quicker than ever.

The best features here are accuracy and control. For half the price of most wheels you get the same level of force feedback with quick reacting internal gears. An adjustable dial with 24 positions allows you to fine tune different aspects of the car with little effort.

Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel Ferrari 458 Italia Edition XBOX ONE & PC @ £219.95 inc VAT

If you want to race on Xbox One, you’ve only got a few options. If you want incredible force feedback and a streamlined connection with your console, this is what you get. The price is big drawback, but the set-up is well made with durable materials, and the overall impression is super realistic.

Thrustmaster T80 Driveclub Edition Racing Wheel PS4 & PS3 @ £59.99 inc VAT

GC-052-TH_400.jpg

This little gem was the first PS3/PS4 wheel to hit the market, and it came at a good price. The control is precise, there are more programmable buttons than other budget wheels and the pedals are adjustable for different driving styles. But with a nice price come sacrifices; you’ll have to do without force feedback or a clutch pedal.

Was £84.95 Inc. VAT

Only £59.99 inc VAT.

Thrustmaster Ferrari Challenge Wheel (PS3/PC) @ £24.95 inc VAT

GC-040-TH_400.jpg

By far the most affordable on this list, the Ferrari Challenge wheel is a great beginner set-up for anyone on a budget. It lacks control accuracy but provides the oh-so-important force feedback you need to get used to in order to run with the big dogs.

The Thrustmaster Ferrari Challenge Wheel is a good wheel for the price, but it is only 8" diameter, I found that after I bought one :( and it doesn't have force feedback.

Shame the G27 on this site is well overpriced The article lists it at £147, you guys selling it at £220 quid. I have one there not worth a penny over £150 if anyone is spending £220 quid go with the TX.

The G27 is listed currently at a competitive market price using our comparison software.

I have been unable to find anything sub £200 and certainly nothing close to the price suggested in the article.

If you can find that price anywhere, feel free to trust message me your findings.

I think that's a good price for the G27, I bought mine second hand at £167 and would have happily paid more if I didn't find it that cheap.

Purple shirts have it cheaper than you do..... and that's saying something :p

At one point it was cheaper for us to buy from purple shirts than from logitech themselves. So it's not saying anything at all.

Can't decide between G27 or T500; I mostly play racing games that lean more towards arcade than simulator like DiRT 3 and GRID Autosport...

If you prefer a H shifter, the G27 is a great option. Although the T500 is something I would have considered also, but no gropes about my purchase.

If I was to pick up the T500 i'd pick up the shifter as well but i'm concerned I may be spending more than I need for the types of driving games I play. The G27 seems to offer better value but the T500 looks the part :)
