Top 10 Worst Consoles

Jaguar should have been number one for me.

Shocking games and a hard to program console full of problems..... oh and that controller

I always thought the Gizmondo would be a success because of the amount of emulators out for it!!!

Gizmondo doesn't deserve to be #1...

Wario Land on the virtual boy is still one of the best 2D platformers ever.

Bit harsh on the 3DO. It had Return Fire, Need for Speed, Road Rash, Space Hulk and the then best home version of SSF2 at that time. Appreciate many were available elsewhere but they originated on the 3DO.

could have picked the Amstrad GX4000, Commodore CDTV, CD32 or C64 GS in it's place. However I suspect the American nature of that list meant they never heard of these.

I don't remember Mario 64 costing that much, Turok Dinosaur Hunter cost £70 where I lived however.

Same here, think Mario 64 was £50-60... but Turok was £69.99 :o

A friend did import a Japanese N64 however and paid something like £600-700 during the first week.

Your 10 year old memory must be mistaken. :o

i had both the sega cd, and sega 32x :D i only had doom for the 32x, and sewer shark i think it was for the cd. i did have a western game with aliens but it never worked properly :(

I liked the dig at the PS3 price in the middle of it, and why not throw in some giant enemy crabs? :p

haha the phantom what a load of BS that was.

I can remember paying £50+ for panzer dragoon saga on the saturn and some **** robbing it from my house, never found out who nicked it.

and PD and DK64 where pretty expensive because you needed the memory expansion pack, thank god for grandparents who spoilt me :p

I paid a similar amount for it then when I got a N64, my Mum gave away my Saturn and all of my games. You can now see English-language copies of PDS on an auction site going for $200+ :(

The irony of it me paying so much for it is that I only got it because I got hooked when Sega Saturn Magaine gave the entire first disc away on a £4.99 issue

On the topic of expensive carts.. I paid £80 for an imported copy of Street Fighter II when it first came out on the SNES.

I remember standing in "Rumbelows" about to pay £350 of hard-earned for a Jaguar, WELL glad I didn't now, I was just obsessed with the looks of Cybermorph and the lure of Jeff Minter developing for it.

On the subject of expensive carts :

I still see Secret of Mana on SNES is ~£50.

I paid £60 for DK64.
