Top 3 most memorable goals

My 3 most memorable goals are all from the same player - Gerrard.

1. Header in the 2005 CL final - I was sat directly behind the line the ball took and it was in all the way. I can still remember it like yesterday.

2. The half volley against Olympiakos in the CL - Excellent strike in incredible circumstances and like him or not (I don't), Andy Gray's commentary makes it even more memorable.

3. The half volley against West Ham in the FA Cup final - Incredible strike in the most incredible circumstances. Could have been 2nd but both the BBC and Sky's commentary on that goal was lacking something.

Tony Yeboah against Wimbledon and Liverpool. I'm claiming it as one goal because it was the same finish :D They even hit the same place on the crossbar!

That Zidane goal in the CL final.

...and although I hate him, Harry Kewell's against Arsenal should be in every 'best ever Prem goals' rundown. If it was for a more glamorous club or Leeds hadn't been struggling so much at the time it would have been heralded much more.

Absolutely sublime, from the ball to the control to the sweet finish. Perfect goal.

Didn't like the impact it had elsewhere, but it gave Leeds survival for another year.

rooney volley v newcastle

cantona lob not sure who against, with the celibration to boot.

giigs v arsenal.

stand out goals you remember are always from your club first.

this thread should be called ' take a bow son, take a bow'.

1, Ello... ello... Here we go. What a game.

2, Mark Hughes volley from Ryan Giggs testimonial

3, Michael Owen 2001 FA Cup Final

Special mention to Paul Gascoigne's Euro 96 goal.

Le Tissier V's Arsenal 2001, Not only the last goal at the Dell but a brilliant one and a winner!

Mark Crossley V's Southampton 2006, Not a great goal but a keeper scoring a last minute winner always sticks in the mind especially when said keeper was the only man to stop a Le Tissier penalty.

Le Tissier V's Blackburn 1995, 40 yard lob, Goal of the season scored by the best player I've ever seen. Need I say more?
