You need to listen to Freddie King or BB King. Its about not what you play but what you don't that counts.

haha, you fail. Trust me, the feeling is mutual. Without the backing track, your video would have given me rigamortis.

It was SRV's Texas Flood, Sting's Shape of your Heart and Andy Timmons Electric Gypsy. I don't really care if you're saying the way I'm playing them is what constitutes it as being 'nothing like music'. Whilst I admit, I'm a far cry from any of the above artists, they're not exactly bad renditions.The video has 18 likes and 1 dislike btw.

One of the greatest riffs of all time IMO.

easyrider you started this by slagging off Paul Gilbert. That's something you just don't do!

But seriously, it's pretty clear you don't like to play metal, you don't like fast/metal style shredding and anyone that does you think is a lesser musician and all round human being because you happen to be up on some music theory, listen to Jazz and know the names of some of the most famous musicians to have lived. LOL

Judging by the video he posted, I'd be surprised if his theory goes much further than the pentatonic / major / minor scale. I'd be surprised if it even extends that far.

I respect technical ability irrespective of the music genera, I’m quite lucky because I’ve got a broad spectrum of musical taste.

For example i hate really hard thrash metal, but i would never call Dave Mustaine or Chris Broderick rubbish guitar players because only a total and utter tool would do something like that.

Where did I knock it? When used correctly those 3 scales over the neck can sound incredible. Shame you can't implement them correctly

I would love to be able to improvise well but my theory isn't good enough. Something I would like to work on but just don't have the time on my hands. I play for fun and that's all. I'm stopping now anyway, pretty sure I'm getting trolled, at least for easyrider's sake, I hope so.
