Top Gear Is Back!!

another poor show again i thought, seems like they have gone away from the other series and its a bit like them "scrapyard wars" programs that are on, dont get me wrong its still the best thing on tv on a sunday night by far just it was better when they have the challenges once every so often, kinda make you look forward to it more then. needs some more car reviews in it too. maybe last series was the peak

Top Gear is great entertainment, and I enjoyed last night's program, but there wasn't enough content and too much larking around with the boat thing.

Nice episode once again.

Perhaps the expectations of some people are a bit high and therefore it is easy to be disappointed?

You would think by now the peeps know that you have to be quiet when they are doing the Cool Wall, but no, someones always makes a comment, "have you seen your ears" ROFL :p
Agreed there dude, overall thought it was a fantastic episode, damper van = ace :D

Definitely agree with this. It seems to be getting a bit repetitive; start doing something silly with a car, drive a fast car around the track, let a celeb whose been on before race around the track, then watch the end of doing something silly with a car.

IMO it would be nice if there were some variations, maybe have the occasional "do something silly with a car" but definitely not every week, and review some normal (/rubbish) cars.

I still look forward to watching it but I fear it's going to get boring :(

Why? This just ISNT interesting. There is nothing more dull than watching a sensible review of, say, the new Mondeo LX. It's boring, it's not exciting television, and it's dull. If you want to know how good the new Mondeo LX is, buy a copy of What Car? and go down to the Ford dealer and drive one.

Old Top Gear used to do reviews of normal stuff - you only have to watch a boring chap with a beard bang on about fuel economy in the recently facelifted Rover 800 and you'll yearn for the new Top Gear.

Word.

Thats exactly what i said to the mrs after it finished. I do enjoy the little features they have but dedicating 2 3rd's of an episode to that was a bit of a shame. Hopefully they'll redeem themselves next week.

Maybe its just me, or the fact that I'd spent 5 hours driving back from Suffolk yesterday, but that boating feature was the funniest thing I'd seen on TV for a long time, I swear I almost fell off he sofa laughing. :D

I'm not the only one then :D

Fantastic program.

That's exactly what the father said to be this morning. I tend to agree. Some of the longer features they do it can be a bit hit or miss, with limited content along the way. Still a great program despite some small niggles.

was quite funny, our boys esp. jay loves it, that said one car test in it sunday?? bit lame for a 'car' program
but as said an entertaining show

It's very good, I just hope they don't go any further with the comedy side of things. But I don't think we should have boring car reviews, perhaps some more reviews of the exciting ones, or a slightly longer Top Gear News.

Star in a reasonably priced car is sometimes great, but if they have a **** guest it tends to drag on, but I understand that it's impossible to find a guest that everybody will enjoy.

It's pretty much the best thing on terrestrial as far as I'm concerned, and the only program that I will drop pretty much whatever I'm doing to sit and watch.

Just watched it and thought it was hilarious. I don't view it to see just car reviews, if I wanted that I'd read the web and go for a test drive. It's light entertainment with a car theme and as such fits the bill perfectly.
