Yeah they are more like the three stooges these days!! I think i need to watch the programme with different expectations if there is going to be more staged bits for comedy effect. Still must see TV.
 
I was absolutely howling at this episode, when may threw the megaphone under that steamroller, omg i just roared so loud the whole street will have heard. As for hammond, he looks a lot older than he did a few months back, but im glad he is alright, adn he seemed to take it all with a fair amount of humour :)

Its so nice to have some decent TV back.

Oh, and holy thread rivival batman!
 
Funniest moment for me was when JC said something along the lines of "you would have had the record for the fastest speed whilst travelling upside down but the guinness book of records say you have to do a second run in the other direction and take an average".
 
Craking epsiode that, loved the roadworks bit, Jc on the megaphone, and then blasting maggie, ace. :D

Blimey that was some crash though, damn lucky he was, looked terrible, glad hes ok though, he did look a bit different to me as well, does anyone know what that guy in the audience shouted just after they showed the crash, and hammond said 'ahh thanks very much' or something and everyone started clapping. :)

Good show... great to watch it again, great to see them all together given what happened.

BEST thing on TV by far!

Was weird watching him watching it back... was a strange silence around the set too. just in amazement i guess at the crash....

was funny what he said before he actually got in for the test drive too... a big accident or something.

anyway... i guess that is that now... like when they said they'll never mention it again on the show... be good just to get back down to the show :)

the roadworks was awesome, was loving the motivational words..... 72fish chips too...legend

Terrible crash that, he said his he was doing about what 280 or summit upside down on his head, then when the cage went his head stuck in the ground and thats what helped it stop as well, man very lucky, thank god he's back to normal, i really felt for the guy after seeing that.
 
respect to him.. bigger balls than I to go for that last run after going 314. cant help but think that he looks far too gaunt and that maybe the crash knocked a little bit of that childish fun element out of him but maybe its just the continual stream of having people wanting to know if he's ok and having to restate it all the time, that surely must be testing his patience

as for the show, good to have it back and i enjoyed the XKR review as it didn't just mention an alternative it put it head to head and showed you where it was better, moreso i thought than in the past when they've done comparisons and yet still managing to keep the focus of the review on the jag rather than starting with one car and then finishing up telling you about something else, which is what i was expecting the moment the aston came into view. if i were in the market for that kind of car id probably still have gone with the Aston but id have given the jag a much better look over first
 
I think it will take a little more time to be completely fine from a crash like that...

am sure in a few more months time all will be well...

does look a little gaunt at the moment

I was suprised that Jamie Oliver was so competent behind the wheel, that looked stupidly fast considering the track was drenched, well held on the last corner too.

Glad they got the crash out of the way and that it will never be mentioned again tbh. I also see they used it as a little irrelevant dig at the "speed kills" know it all's.

quite spooky watching the feature knowing whats going to happen, and hearing his commentary more than a little ironic - well glad he's/it's back.

most funny part hmmm torn between two - megaphone getting squished or the white line :)

What puzzles me though that it doesn't have brakes? Surely brakes would disintegrate at those speeds?

I can't see how anyone would have stopped it to be honest, apart from JC and the world's biggest powerslide, hehe.
 
I loved the bit after his second run when he was shouting " I'm Alive I'm Alive " He was rushing his **** off. Well pleased to see him and the show back on.
 
Pretty average show if i'm honest, best part was obviously hammond's incident report but as a general show it wasn't anything that special.

I'm looking forward to seeing may drive the veyron!

WTF, that's stupid. Didn't they say on the show that there was 0.4 seconds between the tyre going and the crash?

If a tyre blew out at 100mph chances are you're going to crash, nevermind at 288mph.
