Whilst I also really liked the old (pre-2001) Top Gear, I like the new one too. For a while it was great when Fifth Gear did all the serious car reviews and Top Gear did the funny stuff. But Fifth Gear then tried to be an entertainment show as well which is a shame.

That was the most 'car-orientated' TG for a while - and not in a bad way per see. It was a bit 'dry' at times - I found myself almost missing their usual silliness and japes when they were doing the long boring drive across Ukraine, but I guess that was the point they (and the producers) wanted to emphasise. A very good, if not outstanding, episode.

Car review shows are awful, who the hell wants to learn about boring cars. Its not like you go shopping for a car often, even when you do. The chances of them reviewing what you want is pretty low.
Leave normal car reviews to the YouTube channels. Where you can pick and choose what you want to watch.
The people asking for boring car reviews on topgear really are insane.

Its about the only thing barely hanging on a thread thats decent TV that doesnt take it self too seriously and ignores PC BS - say what you want about Clarkson, everyone else in the public eye has changed who they are in the hope that people will keep liking them - Clarkson is, I'm British, stick it.
