So in other words its not the best thing on TV?

Both Top Gear and Dragons Den are, in my opinion the best television programs.

Top Gear was ok but now has become puerile and repetitive in the extreme

This has been the only series that I've actually sat down and watched every week, so I'm not really sure but it's a very good/entertaining show.

How would you change it?

possibly turn it into a car program :D

seriously though it has lost it's way and become less and less car based and more infantile, the "challenges" became stale months ago, the stupid comments re the "mysterious" stig are pathetic and the set up gags cringeworthy

Couldn't agree more, I cringe when Clarkson begins saying "Some say...."

All feels staged and scripted. May as well have canned laughter as the audience are like lap dogs.

Indeed.

Fast car
Hammond is small
Car comparison
Stig comment
quick lap
random celeb
repeat next week.

There doesn't seem too much proper car stuff in it these days, true...

You have a point, change or die really. They managed that by moving from the cliched old format, now they need to keep introducing fresh stuff.

I hope they do another super car verses another mode of transport across Europe. Always loved to see those.

they have done those to death IMO and they were so obviously "fixed" to produce close finishes

Agreed, its a terrible show tbh. Been a long time since ive watched it but watched last nights episode as they had the 'stangs on there so was interested in that. But as per usual i found myself getting bored with their usual rubbish they spout off. The shows definitely lost its way tbh..

Yea.

Or they could just get a direct jet flight and win by default each time........Oooh, thrilling. The planned suspense doesn't kill me.

Still good entertainment. I rather watch Top gear than Max power or 5th Gear any day, even if it has less Car reviews.

It's kinda got to the point where they try too hard to be off the wall and funny and as a result it's so incredibly obvious that these 'incidents' are set up, like the limo's in London for example.
