thought you could only just afford a ps2 ? :D
You should have got a gamecube too.You can pick one up for about £20 and it has a fantastic back catalogue of games
 
I think as your ate Uni you want something you can pick up and play and also have the boys round, so a good sports title needs to be in there, or some kind of shooter/multiplayer game.

The Halo fun i had at uni and footy games were good times.
