Torchlight II

Just preordered and preloaded:)

Annoyingly, I didn't have Torchlight on Steam, I had it on GOG, so I got Torchlight as well, but can't gift it.

You should've shouted on steam mate :(

I've got 1 copy left from a mates 4pack in my inventory.
I' can't make any more threads in FS tho so anyone needs a copy pop up a wanted thread ;)

I'll pre order mine tonight on Steam. I'll try to remember this thread so if anybody needs the first one then I'll gift it to you.

Somebody hasn't heard of Titan Quest.

Indeed,

based on TQ and TQIT completion with at least one character (and completing normal and/or epic with a silly number of alts), too many hours of D1 and D2, a lot of Torchlight (pre-order in for TL2) and playing the D3 demo through with all classes, my actual first choice remains...

TQ:IT (with fan patch and vault mod)

The only improvements I really want for that game are a way to make 'Normal' worth playing (Epic and Leg are where the fun is), and a decent randomised level engine (the pre-made maps being what I hate about the 'do it three times over' mechanic common to many such games).

Nothing about the D3 starter edition made me think "worth £50". If it had been priced like TL2 then I'd have bought it, but having read the reviews/forums about the AH effectviely replacing gear drops (even taking the 'forum whine is 90% rubbish" into account) I just didn't think it was worth it.

Similar thing to the CoD games - MW1 was fun and I enjoyed both SP and MP. MW2 was flawed in major ways, but nonetheless fun (decent silly cinematic single player, long enough for a shooter; Multiplayer with idiotic no-sever issues, lag problems etc was still fun enough for me to prestige multiple times) - but when they started charging significant prices for DLC maps I decided that was where the line was drawn for me - no longer worth it, haven't bought a CoD game since.

Hmm, I've gone well off-topic, but may as well ask:

Have there been any decent non-corporate-crap twitch shooters out? (i.e. Diablo is to Torchlight as Call of Duty is to ???)

My mate (who recently got himself a gaming laptop) wouldnt mind it if its going free? (although I understand if you want to offer to a forum member first?)

He is interested in trying TL2 (co-op) with me, as his laptop will run it well! But he doesnt know if the game type will be up his street! He recently split up with his long term GF so is looking for something to fill the time ...

Either way let me know if you wouldnt mind giving it to him!

Don't care, if your friend wants to try it out then be my guest. I'll be pre-ordering it around 8 so get your friend to add me on Steam.

Steam ID = Hastarii

If you want to play multi-player you're probably better off with the Steam version. There is talk that the Steam version and Runic version do not work together. It sounds totally retarded but you may want to look into that before buying.

I believe that Tunic have confirmed this to be the case.

I can play Hero Academy on my PC against a mate on his iPhone but not Steam to Runic?

That will probably push me into getting it on Steam, as several of my friends are purchasing from there. might buy a second copy from Runic just to punt them the cash and say "thank you"

Anyone else get another 1,398MB preloaded for Torchlight II today? That's now 3GB. Torchlight 1 has so much content for 500MB, 3GB is going to be off the charts!

Plus its the first mmo thats circa moddable!

I'm going to miss Dark Souls. :(
