Torchlight II

I've just played it for an hour or so. I like it. I've just played as the mage type. So far I'm prefering this to Diablo 3. It has more character and its more immediate, faster run speed and spammy weapons with nice explosions. Tons of useful items to sort through as well, I dont think I found a single damaged.
 
Ill be skipping Diablo 3 until its cheap... probably a few years judging by its current price! Loved the first Diablo but never complete the second, i got bored somewhere along the line.

Torchlight 2 on the other hand is a day one purchase for me, Steam says release date is summer... but if we go by english weather summers never gonna come...

Having a lot of fun with TL2. Very very impressed. New classes and combat is great. Tried all of them last night and I really don't know which one to start with, they all play so well.

Not bought D3 yet and after playing this, I'm not that bothered!

Just had 20 minutes with the game. Was planning on picking it up on release, now I can't wait - it's fantastic. Just need to split my time between this and Diablo 3.
 
I didn't get my invite until 01:12 this morning

Been playing it for a few hours and it's so much fun :)
I'm on act4 on diablo3 but haven't bothered with it since getting on torchlight2 beta :D
 
Even in this current beta state the game is extremely polished and smooth. It feels like the original Torchlight but on steroids as the gameplay feels so much faster. The pets seem very very powerful so far and the classes I've tested are all fun, nothing like walking around with a big fat skill cannon making everything go BOOM! :p
 
Cool, just checked my email and there is a beta pass in it, plenty to do now, torchligh 2 beta and a diablo 3 guest pass :)
 
Oooh if anyone has a spare key floating about :)

I love TL1, got into modding it a few weeks back, so a sneak peak at 2 would be awesome :D

[EDIT] Hmmm, Not sure how to get it to work. Installed the client, activated with they key but I need to log in. I created an account on the TL2 website but it doesn't accept it and when I try tp associate the code with my account it say invalid/in use??? Any suggestions?

just heading out for a bit, will check both keys when I'm back mate.
 
Is the beta online only, or time limited? I'm heading off to no-internet land tomorrow for 5 weeks and would love to take this to play if anyone has a spare key?

EDIT - ignore that, just saw it's only a few days.
