Just interested to see who is a tory, and if your dad/mum is well off or not. It's just to see if political ideology has anything to do with your financial situation as you are growing up. Thanks.

I'm tory, my dad is relatively well off.

I don't really understand what the point of this thread is though. Not all Tories are well off. That's like saying all labour voters are poor.

Will be voting Tory, my family is not 'well off', but doesn't rely on benefits.
In fact, my family was relatively poor until 2 generations ago.
Edit; You do need to be more specific on 'well off' though :p
also, I fail at spelling.

Rich people vote Tory?
It's partly true and I know that some of my family vote for them because they are well off and for no other reason.
Tories are supposed to help the middle class though I don't think is particularly true if you look what Cameron has done.

I'm a Tory, and my father is not well off - nor has he ever been.

Why aren't you interested in the wealth of people's mothers? Does that have no impact on political ideals?

Fair one.

She's never been well off either, I'm not sure what any of this proves though. Wouldn't it be more relevant to ask "What did your parents vote when you were growing up?".

My parents are Labour supporters and anti Thatcherites.

Define tory (tory voter/tory by least worst option voter/tory party member) and define well off, and this thread might be going somewhere...
