Right now I am in the middle of a Torndao watch soon to be a Tornado Warning. Reports of hail and funnel clouds

All I have with me is a camera phone but Ill will do my best to get some good photos.

Damn the rain just started coming down in buckets!

I was outside earlier today and the clouds were doing some really wierd things. Looked like they were swirling and they were really bumpy.

Good times

Just got upgraded to a Tornado Warning through the bases Giant Voice System, lots of rain and tones of lightening

I would also love to see a tornado! Hopefully this will be my lucky night! lol

Don't try and capture it on camera, please get safe and get somewhere solid below ground.

I've seen pictures and videos of some insane penetration of wood/steel etc. and dread to imagine the damage it would do to a human.

I am also fascinated by how extreme the earth can get, tornados, volcanic erruptions and such like. Would love to see some pictures, but please be careful dude, these things are unpredictable!
Is this usual weather for your area at this time of year?

It looks like things are calming down. Other than waist deep flash floods and lots of lightening and a slight breeze there is nothing going on.

I love extreme weather too! Nothing more fascinating than witnessing the strength of nature.

I am on the southern end of Tornado Alley so we occasionally get big storms roll through and have had small tornadoes and funnel clouds but nothing causing much damage.

Apparently the best way to get a really good view of the tornado is to stand in the middle of a big field holding a long metal pole up to the sky, preferably near a big tree. Or failing the metal pole wrap lots of tin foil around long stick and use that.

*This may not actually be true, and might well lead to death by lightning/weather bashing*

If I were you i'd be moving all of my tinned food into the basement lol.

Looking at storms on other planets would be awesome too. Imagine what it would be like on a planet with a hostile atmosphere and extreme temperatures:eek:

We had our first tornado warning of the season a couple of weeks back - nothing appeared though. The biggest one we've had around here recently was this one:

Which just missed us fortunately. I didn't take the video - was too busy hiding in the basement :p I remember after it passed we went outside and I've never seen clouds like them before - there were all these layers and they were all moving in different directions.....it was just plain wrong  It was a crazy day - we had 18 tornado's touch down in southern Wisconsin, most of them small or short-lived. The one above was an F3 I believe. Amazingly only one person was killed!

There were tornado warnings where I live a couple of weeks back - some were actucally spotted!
Freakiest weather I have ever witnessed! 80degrees in the morning and by 4pm it had dropped to the 50's and tornado's lol

The weather is exciting but I dont like the effects

Last time I had to worry about them was about 12 months ago when I was in my office in AL. My footage recorded on my camera at the time wasn't too impressive :(
