Torres out for the rest of the season

Tbh, as awesome as El Nino is, If someone came in with a decent offer for him, I'd get rid, he is just too injury prone. Obviously It'd have to a ronaldo'esque price tag.

Part of me agress BUT we got no one to replace him n not being in the champions league next season im not sure if any one would come to us to replace him.

All so even if we sold him for a Ronaldo price tag, would Rafa or who ever the boss is get the money or will it just be used to pay of the debt

We look so ordinary without Torres it's untrue. Wouldn't bet on us getting a European place next season and I wouldn't bet against Everton finishing ahead of us in 7th behind Villa.

Just makes me want Rafa out even more now. He put all his eggs in one basket this season and he's failed miserably as a result.

In normal circumstances I'd agree; this season's been a disaster and he deserves to lose his job but him leaving this summer (whether he walks or is sacked) could be set us back a couple of years.

With the ownership up in the air, no manager in their right mind would come near us and the only reason why the likes of Torres, Masch and Reina are likley to put up with a season out of the CL is loyalty to Benitez.

Benitez's future should only be addressed once the ownership is sorted.

Just when us United fans thought the title was swinging our way :(

Ah well lets help Kuyt the best defensive centre forward can manage to pull out a goal.... ok I wont hold my breath :(

Typical Scallies, anything to stop united winning the league, he will be right as rain after the chelsea match I would imagine.

Fingers crossed :D

Well, don't care about him being right after, would be nice for Villa, City and Spurs to be in Europe.

david villa and david silva?

I would love them to come to Liverpool BUT if they were for sale you would have Man Utd, Real, Man City, all with £'s for wages + Champion league football, i doubt they would come

david villa has always had crazy offers thrown at him, he has supported valencia as a kid and only ever wanted to play for them, even though he could have played for better teams and on triple his wages he knocked them back, he isnt motivated by money. so if rafa could coax him with his spanish inquisition then they have a much better chance than real madrid who he hates

Be a miracle if he is actually fit for the WC, and whatever it does for Utd's title hopes its best for the player (whether it should have been done before now is another story of course) he wont leave liverpool anytime soon (at least one season in Euro league at worst) and I cant see him leaving for any EPL based team EVER

Good luck to him with Spanish team (although after BM targeting Rooney I wouldnt bet on Torres's knee -even post surgery - being targeted if he is played in WC)

Damn it... need him fit.

I think this is the first time I've ever been annoyed that a Liverpool player has been injured, but without him I can't see Chelsea slipping up to them now.

Gonna make it a lot harder to win the title now :(
