Toshiba Equim U400 Backup disks

Has anyone got one of the above laptops?

My sister has managed to bork hers and I really dont want to have to fork out £30 for backup disks from Toshiba.

No it boots fine. It just had issues with things loading such as IE and freezes constantly. It also will not shut down.

Is it possible to extract the recovery info from the hard drive?

It fails halfway through trying to burn the recovery disks. I have tried this about 15 times using various brands of blank media. :confused:

I've been using Macs for a while so I'm not too clued up on the Windows side of things anymore...
