Hey guys,

I've just been bought the Toshiba Store.E Basic USB3 External HDD. But I have a problem using it in the USB 3 ports on my desktop. If I plug it into these drives it fails to install the drivers so it malfunctions and windows stops it. However if I plug it into the USB 2 ports everything installs fine and can be used as USB 2 drive. The drive does work in USB 3 as it works on my laptop. I have another USB 3 external (3.5 HDD in USB 3 case) and that works fine in my USB 3 ports on my desktop so I don't get it.

I have rung the help line and the guy has said that only thing he can see the problem being is my bios being out of date (I have a Asus P6X58D-E Mobo: bios version 0303) he suggested updating to version 0701 but will this mess my overclocking up? I do have the profile saved but I don't want to update it to find the settings no longer work. Plus would it actually make it work? I've updated the USB drivers for the Mobo already.
