Am torn between these two but cant make my mind up.

There are few things on the UD3H that the D3H doesn't have but nothing that makes that much difference (not that I can see any road).

I don't need all the bells and whistles on the motherboard such as LED's/power buttons etc but obviously I want a board that will allow a decent overclock.

Hopefully I will be using the i7-4770K

Do you think the 3DH/UD3H will differ much for OC'ing compared to the UD5H?

I was wanting atleast a 5GHz OC. Having not read much about Haswell I don't even know how far they can go

5ghz is possible for sure with good chips. I have found some for my systems. Some of the best around it seems. But these are rare for sure.

I did all my testing on GB OC board.

The one thing that worries me about buying a cpu (especially a haswell) from ocuk, is that im afraid what they send me is a reject from an 'overclocked rig'

i.e. they test the cpus and if they dont OC to what they sell the pc as, they just sell it as oem to normal customers.

i know this sounds paranoid, and i already have bought my 4770k from ocuk. buts its at the back of my mind.

can someone put my mind at ease on that one? ;)

Having read some of that thread it hardly seems worth upgrading. I might have to have a re-think

clock for clock it will be quite a lot faster in most cpu related things than your i5. especially with hyper threading.

for games probably not.

the main reason im upgrading is to get the sata 6gb/s and pcie/usb 3 features which the first gen i7 didnt. without them it would be a much harder call to upgrade or not.
