What the hell is that ??? :D

I'm confused, half those screenshots are 2D and the other half are 3D

which is the game actually going to be?

i.e. the same unit is in pictures 14 & 37 but their both completely different.

there are some older pics there which are from older builds of the game i would imagine,

but when you zoom the camera out far enough from the battlefield the game use dynamic LoD to it doesn't melt or somethign bad, i think that's what you mean by 2d, it's a feature of *** game in so that the battles take place on huge maps the size on continents and what not

i'm going to have a mental breakdown if i dont get this game :)

Awesome!

*makes grabbing actions*

Hope you're not stuck with that god aweful view and that this game manages to gain a competitive community. TA didn't quite have what it takes but this looks exciting.

lol, silly boy, :p there all 3d, picture 14 is from the side, picture 37 is top down view, they are just different camera angles, the gaming view can be changed :) if you read the full article it explains the camera useage ;) there will be 4 killometers of rendered map for your computer to hold in the memory, youl been running multiple battlefronts so youl be zooming out, moving to the next front and zooming in to that particular battle to give instructions.

Ahhh thats cool then!

Would prefer the game 2Dish but if it only goes to 3D when you zoom in close thats okay. The zoom out on one of the pics looks good with all the blips showing you and the enemy...then the nuke in the middle! hehe :D

they are standard features of total annihilation from 1997, so you can see how far ahead of its time the game was :)

Oohh they are defo making a C&C3, there was a big like five page spread in a PC mag with screenshots and good old NOD vs GDI again. ;) Looks good, but I also thought they had some people from Westwood working on it again? Well anyways, both games have the promise to be amazing! I think I'm looking more forward to this one though.
pffffffft, they're even struggling to get good old frank to do the music again.

Haha nah i meant the 3D in 14 was a bit different to the full 3D in 37! like TA 3dish (bugger to explain but you get me yeah :p )

Not read the full article yet though but i can see multiplayer games being frantic as hell with a massive map like 4km, the TA levels were huge (anyone remember that 2player coast map that was wide as?) the naval metal map from it stands out most for me...absolutely huge! me thinks il be playing this again tomorrow actually :)

i didnt think they were making one, even if they do though, its not gonna have a scratch on supcom simply because the initial westwood magic has long since been sold out and devoured by EA GAMES.

The 'westwood magic' formed Petroglyph and went on to make that lousy Star Wars game. Here's to hoping that the decent staff stayed on at EA Pacific.

in fact, anyone here know where i can buy this again (not from ebay) i cant find my previous two copies

because i strangely have an urge to play it again

re-edit: the only places i cant find it seem to be dodgy, as in offering only battle tactics or something lame like that

also, are there any compatilibility issues with XP?
