I wanna know how many people have built their own cases completely from scratch.
I'm thinking about building one for next project...
Post pix to... I want ideas...#

Thanks

Bah! I was about to link to that, but couldn't find it because I was searching "project cyber/coborg/thing..."

Great thread though, wish I had the patience to do something like that!

Quickest way to find it is to arrange posts by 'Views'. ;) Thanks. I really need to finish this other one off then get back to the Android.

I am contemplating building a custom case to house 2 x 120.3 rads internally to avoid going to Mountain Mods cuboid size.

Not totally from scratch though, planning to use a new cheap perspex case I have as a base as it is modular and should be fairly easy to adapt the components and fittings.

It`s worth going all the way through the Thread guys,it really is amazing, this guys attention to detail is second to none.

this is my baby. had to rush to finish it for a-level project but it is capable of holding 2 120.3 rads. need to work more on the motherboard tray and actually build a hard drive rack inside instead of the temporary one i stole from a shuttle. was very quiet aircooled and i don't have the cash to watercool currently.

Agreed, very impressive. *Gets inspiration to start third project ;) *
I think though the final finished product looks fairly ugly, the concept and engineering is master-class but I think it could look better. Bit like web designers who can code excellently and use Photoshop well, but lack with the talent in the visual appearance.

Completely agree. Its seriously well thought out, and the engineering is to be admired. But the final design and external appearance just doesn't 'look right'. It looks unbalanced somehow. I love the cable duct thing though. And the power cables are ace.
