Hey all!

I've got a mx100 coming tomorrow (first dabble into SSD territory) and im curious...

Can i use the SSD as the primary drive and still run programs off my 1TB mechanical? I only bought a 256gb SSD and cant even shrink my game library down enough to fit :o :D

some games will work some will need re installing

you'll have to go into the programs folder and each game folder then create a new shortcut to the desktop for each games exe

Some games don't really benefit much from being on a SSD.

For those that do, you can create a new steam library folder on your HDD from within steam. When you move them all you have to do it move the appmanifest_APPNUMBER.acf file and the game to the other folder.

For origin I use a program called steam mover which creates a junction point to your HDD. The game and everything else thinks it is on your SSD but the data is on the HDD and the SSD merely points to the data on the HDD. Clever stuff.

Just to add to this, there used to be some issues, but now it pretty much works flawlessly, don't be put off by old forum posts.

I think the only recent game that still bugs out if you do it is SR3?
