Hi there i am new to anything pc and have always been just a x box player.
Recently had to major surgerys on my spine so have been spending more time on the xbox were i mainly play warzone.
I have been reading groups on face book were everyone raves about pc were as console players seem to hate pc players.
I have watched a lot of videos on building my first budget pc solely to play warzone and have made a list of parts if anybody can help with advice that would be great.
And everything is been done to a super tight budget.
So my list so far is
Ryzen 3300x cpu 8gb ddr4 can get this for £30 ssd 480gb £47 power supply 600w £40 motherboard amd am3 £45
Graphics card msi radeon rx 570 £139 and a cheap tower case for £40
Thanks for reading i no its a long first post

Hey wheelz and welcome to the forum mate.

I wouldn’t take much notice of the console/PC wars that is forever going on. If you want a PC to enjoy then go for it. But if your undecided, there’s nothing wrong in console gaming right now. Or saving the cash if you want the next gen Xbox or PS5.

What’s your total budget for this PC? Do you also have a separate budget for a monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset or do you already have that covered?

So are you happy to build the PC and source a Windows 10 key and install yourself?

Not sure you’ll get a 3300X for £30?! Unless you meant just the RAM and forgot the 3300X price.

Also the AM3 motherboard is not compatible with the 3300X, you need an AM4 socket board with either a B450 Max, B550 or X570 chipset.

I forgot the price sorry £120 budget all in would be £600-£700 including monitor mouse keyboard unless i can source some second hand parts.
I am totaly new to all this so a lot of stuff i dont no what it means the last time i used a pc was 15 years ago at school

Quite a tight budget if you also need monitor keyboard etc too.

I’ve spec’d a fairly decent mATX build for £582 - you can get the 3300X for £120 elsewhere, which you’ve mentioned so presume you’re aware :)

The PSU isn’t my ideal choice, but OcUK and every other retailer have very little stock due to the pandemic causing supply issues. But it should hopefully do the job still, OcUK use Kolink in their pre-built systems so must be ok.

500GB SSD should do you to begin with, although COD is a huge game. So you may end up getting by ok with 500gb, if not then you’ll want another SSD in the future. The case is good quality from Lian-li for an mATX build too.

RX 580 gpu prob best you can get for your price bracket, unless you can get some dirt cheap used prices. But it’ll run COD Warzone @ 1080p high just fine.

Monitors is another slim supply availability too. So what you have left look for a decent 1080p monitor, keyboard and mouse. :p

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £612.89 (includes shipping: £0.00)

I'd edit your post and remove the link, you can't share competitor websites on OcUK forums :)

But that rain forest case isn't that good tbh and non-branded. If you're after a cheap and cheerful RGB case, then any of the below choices would do. You obviously pay a few extra quid for 'RGB premiums' though :p

Similar to how you could get this Night Hawk RGB RAM but it's £20 more than the one I originally linked, to keep your budget in line lol.

I think everything will be bought in stages as i carnt afford it in one hit so it all depends on what spare money i have.
If i have anything spare it will go on the upgraded recomedations

When do you think you'll be ready to buy and have everything? Might be best to keep your money aside in savings, until you have everything ready and buy the lot together.

If it's going to be a few months, there will be different deals and stock available for you. In terms of B550 board stock should be here, more cases be back in supply, PSUs hopefully will be replenished more too so you can get some nicer components.

Yeah save your money and check back in when you're ready to buy altogether

Stock should hopefully be better all-round by then (we hope)

I wouldn't even bother getting a case either, because if it was in stock and you like the idea of an mATX build - I would've suggested this case (or the black version) which is quite nice and new out too, obviously bit dearer but build quality much better.

But if you need a new keyboard & mouse for now, get yourself something decent from the likes of Razer, Logitech, SteelSeries etc... :)
