Don't update from their server. Way more risky. Manually download the BIOS from the Giga website instead, stick it on a FAT 32 flash drive (format it to FAT 32 if needed) preferably 16GB or less (this may be ancient advice and no longer applicable) and then go inside the BIOS and follow the procedure to flash there. Best to read anything concerning whether the file has to be renamed (sometimes the case) before flashing.
Also, before flashing, reset the BIOS to default to remove all CPU, RAM overclocks etc.
I'm very tempted but I have read a couple of reports about not doing it over the internet in the Windows environment. Think I may play it safe and save the flash to a drive and do it that way. It does look a bit more faff though, the @BIOS app looks ridiculously easy, glad you had no trouble.
Yup, exactly what I've ended up doing. Cheers!You download the file to your computer and extract it there. Then you open @BIOS and point it to the bios file.
