Hi all

Looking for some advice on a pc + monitor build.

Built a mostly budget PC back in 2018 with some help but completely out of the loop as to what's what nowadays.

Have always had Nvidia GPU/AMD CPU but open to anything. Had a look at some recent threads but they mostly seemed pretty high end - looking to spend <2k.

Doesn't need to be anything mental, just looking for something that can keep up better with modern games - my 1070 is showing its age now.

Lastly, what's the best way to get hold of windows? I made a bootable USB using an old windows 7 key I had before, is there a better way?

Any advice/recommendations/warnings are welcome, thanks for taking the time to read this.

Cheers

CPU - been upgraded since 2018, currently ryzen 7 3700x
Motherboard - original, AB350 Gaming-3
Memory - Team Group Vulcan T-Force 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - Grey (TLGD48G3000

Thanks for the replies, thanks for the recommendations regarding upgrade option.

PSU - EVGA 450BT 450W 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply - pretty cheap I know, as I said it was budget at the time. Part of the reason why I think a fresh start may be best as well. Upgradeability is also something that's on my mind so fresh mobo/case would probably be the best bet. Going down that route, do you have any recommendations?
