Iam guessing its something todo with my proxy settings or something but i can't get my touch to conect to the uni wireless setting.

I think you've clicked on the blue arrow next to the Wi-Fi name, instead of clicking on the name (clicking the arrow goes through to the proxy settings).
If you simply click on the name of the wireless network in range, it should prompt for a password.

nope, still cant connect, altho iam now trying different wireless networks.
Is this eduroam?
My Ipod Touch connects fine to my uni's, if you need to get the mac address registered with the uni, and then just click the network and it will ask you for your uni username and password, and then connect, you then need to input the proxy settings as EVH said.
