After being helped by you guys last night i was decided to get a 6950 toxic edition for £230 mainly because I have heard that it has a good chance of becoming a 6970 just by flicking the switch. After receiving lots of false information about the card by the people selling it it persuade me to spend more and get a 570 or actual 6970 (People at overclockers forums told me what they were saying was false, thanks guys
) But before I bought it i asked if the card had the 6970 bios on the second switch position and they sent this to me
'the toxic card is a factory overclocked card that comes with the switch, the switch doesnt just automatically turn it in to a 6970 either, it switches between two bios' and you can overclock it using one of the bois'. it doesnt let you use the locked shaders either as cards now come with on die fuses.
the point in this card is you can put it in your system and it be faster than a 6950 straight off.'
Now since you guys have already proved to know more than them, can you tell me how much of that is true and is it worth getting the toxic for 6970?
Thanks for any help you can give me!
