Are the TP-Link Gigabit switches good value for money or is it worth forking out the extra for the Netgear stuff? It's only for my home network.

For a home network I don't think you can go wrong really, I have a 10/100 switch that cost me a fiver and it's been going strong for nearly a decade.

£15 for a gigabit switch has me really tempted.

I'm tempted with these to and I like the power saving aspects - every little potentially helps.

I'm need a switch for:
Blu Ray player
Apple TV
Sky + Anytime+

So I may move my 5 port netgear from upstairs to downstairs and put this in it's place

Netgear is one of the nice blue GB 5 switches
