TPCast incoming

Yeah. It's very expensive, they are supposedly going to release one for the Rift as well. I will save my money for a Gen 2 headset that will, hopefully, be wireless at launch. Not that I need a wireless system right now anyway. The cable management system for £20 is giving me complete freedom of movement in my play area.
Any chance you could post a link of the cable management system your using? Or if that breaks forum rules just the name of the device your using please.

Not a chance in hell im paying almost the cost of another Rift for a peripheral for it

Just google Midwec cable management system for the Rift. Costs about £20 :)

IF you are neat freak, it's probably not the solution you are looking for. But, saying that, with a little creative thinking it would be only be untidy when in use. If you just found a way to hide the hooks in the ceiling. You can put the whole system up and take it down in seconds apart from the hooks.

Neatness didn't really matter to me. IT has made a huge difference to the quality of my Rift experience. I can walk, jump and crawl around my play space now without any worries about the cable tangling in my feet. Most of the time I don't even notice the cable. The Headset itself feels much lighter. Besides the price this is a huge advantage of the Midwec over wireless. It doesn't add heat or weight to the headset.

It does need a little bit of measuring and planning to put up right though.

ha thats genius. It can be used with Rift and Vive. You could probably make it yourself but for £20 its prob not worth it. Have you ever fallen over with this though makes me wonder whether it would rip off the ceiling plaster.

Yeah, it's genius :) And you wouldn't save anything by making it yourself. The main reason you would fall over is because of the cable and that's not an issue anymore. But, Unless I fall through the floor there shouldn't be any danger of that happen, as I have it measured right down to the floor in my play area.
