Track my 4850

Mine came too \o/

2x HD4850
1x Asus laptop

Shame only 1 of the 4850's is mine :/ Post-cardsniffing I decided to reseat the heatsink and reapply the thermal compound on the heatsink of the card so hopefully that helps with temperatures until they fix the fan speed issues. Seemingly this didn't help and I'm still idling at 75c :P

did you get asus cards? they come with fan control software./

Temps have settled at 70c-71c idle at the moment, however I'm a bit paranoid at playing games with that high of an idle temp.

ahh right, basically the fans are defaulted really low. like 14%or something. I dont think the asus software works on non asus cards :(
 
Dont worry about the temps, AMD have said that there are no adverse effects until the card reaches around 110C, however, i think if everyone puts in a complaint to ati, then they will make fan control software a lot sooner, rather than later! 77idle for me and im definitely not letting that get in the way of games :p

Isn't it best to wait for the 4850's that will rival the 9800GTX+ with unlocked clocking etc..?

Or is this BS?

EDIT : They are just releasing pre overclocked versions.
