The advantage of having a car worth FA :D

The car may be, but the engine's worth a few quid.

Either way - you could always take the engine home on a pallet so that's the important bit. ;)

Definately up for doing some trackdays this year, but looks like it will be tricky until May time. :(

Finally - anyone interested in a run around Donny say March or April?
Nope. You interested in a run around the Nordschleife?

Put it on a proper track! :D

EDIT: Actually I'll probably come along to watch you lot, depending on when exactly it happens that is :)

I'm going to have to buy some, just can't risk it with £17k worth of car. :(

Merlin do you know how "decent" trackday insurance is ? Ive heard its full of holes so to speak and most of the time its hard to get a pay out.

Im exactley the same i so badly want to track myn next year but im really scared of being either hit by someone whos uninsured or crashing it myself.

:(

I'll take on a puma in the free rover im getting.

I would normally lose though.

Expect a red rover to pass you at least once then :p

Where do i sign? Have done donny before, fantastic track. Be warned it is very hard on the brakes.

Good test for my £25 pads and discs then isn't it :D

I'd be up for it. Hopefully will have the camshaft/cam cover seals replaced by then and the suspension fitted. :)

Just need to make sure a certain gasket doesn't blow though ;) and I'll need to overfill with oil just to make sure the pickup can get enough of the stuff.

Basically the only things that I know of to look for are heavy excesses (obviously), silly exclusions like panel damage and the policy MUST cover accidents both caused by you AND other drivers.

I have heard of policies that only kick in if YOU make the mistake and take yourself out.

Feb sound's cool as cakes, but I can't commit just yet.
Exactly the same goes for Mar/Apr dates.

Anybody remember the proposed OcUK Ring trip date? Dang?

Tempted by this now, although feb is probably a bit too early for me as I have cash flow problems at the moment and need to sort a few bits out (when its light and not blowing a gale/rain/sleet/ice cold e.t.c. ;) )

Already have trackday insurance included in my policy which is a bonus although it is a £1k excess

Would recommend that the forum just pick a booking site day 2 months in advance and simply let people book as individuals.

200sx club has >50% of the attendance (19 of 36 currently) booked in for 2nd feb Elvington. Almost like a club day without the hassle and cost/risk of organising one. SXOC seem to favour bookatrack. bookatrack event calender.

'Corse spots on summer days fill up a lot quicker than at this time of year, but this would be a better way of going about it for OCUK as I think you would struggle to get 20 definites. A lot of people will back out of a track day because its too far away, due to the cost or get car problems.

200sx mobs seem to start where 2-3 people actually get down and book a place well in advance, advertise the fact on the forum and everyone else dives on.
